'MURICA~!

To celebrate the anniversary of the most influential democracy in the planet, here is a flag my son J drew about six months ago, when he was going through a weird phase of drawing different flags...

I have to say I admire the Stripes n' Stars flag so much.

What is really amazing is that, although he's clearly reversed what goes where, he has put 50 stars in! He's also only one bar off the right number of 13 stripes, and I'd argue the top white stripe is there just so he could write his name.

NOTE: The 50 count is the real stars only. It doesn't count the quick and dirty, asterisk style stars he hastily added when he realised there was a shitload of white space still on the page.

So, in conclusion: going from the same memory that fails him every time he needs to flush and wash his hands after using the toilet, my five-year-old kid somehow got the right number of stars and stripes on the flag of a foreign country.

Then he put them the wrong way around.

I try not to brag about my kids, but this is clearly fucking excellent on many levels.

And it's still more accurate than this guy managed...
